We’re switching things up in April with a fascinating, and timely, talk with Joanna Wei, one of China’s most recognised women in technology.
After creating, building and selling several companies in the VR sector, Joanna today is an angel investor, co-founder of Beijing Makerspace, and evangelist for Indiegogo China. Joanna also holds the title of being the first Chinese student accepted by Singularity University, a Silicon Valley think tank that offers educational programs and a business incubator.
Joanna will share with us her journey as a woman in the high tech world and also as an angel investor what she looks for in a pitch. She’ll share with us best practices and how makers can leverage on the crowdfunding platform in China. And she’ll end her talk by touching on some of the challenges Chinese companies face when entering the US markets.
Joanna’s personal story mirrors the growth and innovation in China’s high tech sector and we’re excited to have this dynamic woman join us on April 25th.
